On Saturday we got back from our glorious week at the beach after a looong day of traveling. The day was bittersweet as I hated leaving after much fun and relaxation but I think I was ready to get home and get back to a somewhat normal routine. It was wonderful spending time with my parents and sister and Austin grew to be quite fond of his Mimi, Papa and Aunt Catherine! He was such a happy and easy-going boy all week....I can't imagine what I did for God to have blessed me with such an amazing child!!

My little water baby enjoyed several mornings at the beach and we visited the neighboring hotel's pool quite often as well. He loves the water and and the sand and even the taste of the salt water spray on his lips. He got splashed by a few small waves and got plenty of sand in his mouth but he didn't even bat an eye. When he was outside in the sun and near that water he was the happiest little baby you could ever meet!

In addition to all the sun, sand and swimming, Austin had several other fun adventures as well. He rode his first merry-go-round, had a fantastic time at the water park, floated in a lazy river, stayed up way past his bedtime to enjoy some Murrells Inlet seafood, saw his first rainbow, had his first ice cream cone, told a hold of daddy's beer and even got behind the wheel of a car!

With as much fun as we all had at the beach, I have a feeling we'll be back again before the summer is over.
