Photoshop Friday!

I recently discovered the world of digital scrapbooking and since it was one of THOSE weeks where I didn't feel like doing much other than sitting right here on my living room couch, I plopped the laptop in my lap and worked on my digital projects during much of my free time that wasn't spent sleeping and avoiding chores...

Digital scrapbooking is not quite as fancy as actual scrapbooking but it's a heck of a lot cheaper and much less of a mess to deal with. I also think it's easier, but I'm sure true Photoshop beginners would probably disagree with me here. You can learn to make your own pages or find awesome pre-made ones all over the internet. There is TONS of information on digital scrapbooking out there, so much in fact that I'm sort of surprised I'm just now learning about it myself! Of course, when you print out your pages and put them in your scrapbook, they may be lacking that sense of texture but they will still have all the charm!

My favorite site at the moment would have to be Polka Dot Potato and it also happens to be the place I got my layout for this weeks Photoshop Friday post. This pre-made layout is for a 5x7 brag book and here are just a couple of my favorite pages so far (the text and pictures were all added by me using Photoshop):

I really like how that looks! I used to scrapbook all the time, but Kylie would get into all of the paper and stickers (she still likes getting my scrapbook paper out of the art drawer). Also, all of our pictures are saved to the computer and it's such a pain getting actual copies made. What a great idea!
